Russia is dropping mines from ‘Shahed’ drones: Flash has warned of a new threat
This was reported on Telegram by Sergei Beskrestnov, an adviser to the Minister of Defence – Flash.
According to Beskrestnov, the occupiers attach a container to each “Shahed” drone, in which they place eight mines.
He noted that a large number of mines end up on the ground after a single drop.
“The video shows a drop 50 kilometres from the border. There is no snow left, and the mines will be clearly visible on the ground. It is strictly forbidden to approach them on foot or by car,” wrote Beskrestnov.
What Flash previously said about Russian drones
On 17 March, Defence Minister’s adviser Serhiy Beskrestnov – Flash – stated that Russia had prepared an operation involving the launch of around 40 modified drones over Kyiv to show its citizens the wreckage of the “Lancet” in the capital.
On 16 March, Beskrestnov also stated that Russia uses the original “Lancet” strike drones to hit frontline targets due to their limited payload.
As a reminder, Defence Minister’s adviser Serhiy (“Flash”) Beskrestnov shared details on social media of the Russian attack on Kyiv in the early hours of 16 March. At that time, fragments of a Russian “Lancet” electric drone were found on Independence Square; the occupiers use this drone at the front, and it does not have sufficient range to reach the capital.
