Russia attacks hospital in Chernihiv region and ambulance in Kherson
Russian troops conducted a series of drone attacks on civilian targets in Chernihiv and Kherson regions on the evening of 1 January. In the town of Semenivka, three attack drones hit the territory of the town hospital. The attack caused a fire, which was quickly extinguished by rescuers. Three service vehicles of the medical facility were destroyed, garages, utility rooms and a food unit were damaged. The blast wave also smashed windows in a five-storey residential building
During the night, a Geranium-type drone hit the territory of a forestry in Koryukivka district. An outbuilding caught fire, and the fire was extinguished. In total, 27 shelling and about 50 explosions were recorded in Chernihiv region over the past day
Russian troops also attacked Kherson. In the Dniprovsky district, the occupiers dropped explosives from a drone on an emergency medical team that arrived to treat the wounded. The ambulance was damaged, and the 70-year-old driver was injured. He was diagnosed with a mine-blast injury, closed head injury and contusion. The man was hospitalised in moderate condition
Ahead of that, a 40-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man were wounded in the same area as a result of a drone attack. All the strikes targeted civilian and medical facilities
