Russian attacks on regions of Ukraine have resulted in deaths and injuries

The effects of fresh Russian attacks have been reported in the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions. There are civilian casualties, including both dead and wounded.

Eight people were injured in Zaporizhzhia following an air strike. The strike hit near one of the terminals belonging to a logistics operator. Seven employees were at work at the time of the attack. Six suffered concussions, whilst two others are in a moderately serious condition.

In the Kherson region, Russian forces attacked 39 settlements over the past 24 hours using drones, aircraft and artillery. One person was killed in the shelling, and nine others, including a child, were injured.

Critical and social infrastructure, two high-rise buildings and six private homes were damaged. A prison, a gas pipeline, a private garage and cars were also destroyed. Two people were evacuated from liberated communities in the region.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian troops attacked the Nikopol, Synelnykiv and Pavlohrad districts with drones, aerial bombs and artillery. Two people were injured.

In the Nikopol district, the communities of Nikopol, Marganetsk and Chervonohryhorivka came under fire, and an agricultural firm was damaged. In the Synelnykivskyi district, strikes hit the Pokrovska and Ukrainska communities; a fire broke out, two private homes, farm buildings and a non-residential building were destroyed, and another house was damaged. A 63-year-old woman was injured.

In the Bohdanivska community of the Pavlohrad district, two private homes were destroyed, three more were damaged, and cars were damaged. A 30-year-old woman was injured; she is in hospital in a condition of moderate severity.

In the Mykolaiv region, a Russian FPV drone struck a bus carrying company employees in the Kutsurub community. A 69-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were injured; they have been hospitalised and are in a stable condition, with injuries assessed as moderate.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have attacked the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities three times with FPV drones. On the morning of 17 March, the Ochakiv community was again struck by multiple launch rocket systems; there were no casualties.

In addition, Russian troops struck an open area in the Voznesensk district with an Iskander-M ballistic missile. No casualties were reported.

In Odesa, Russian forces targeted energy, port and industrial infrastructure. Emergency services worked simultaneously at several locations; all fires have been extinguished. There were no fatalities or injuries.
