Russia has attacked regions of Ukraine

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have continued to shell Ukrainian regions using drones, artillery, aerial bombs and missiles. In Kyiv, the number of casualties has risen to 87 following a massive attack.

Kyiv and the Kyiv region

In Kyiv, the number of casualties following the massive Russian attack on 24 May has risen to 87, including three minors. Two people have died.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, the entrance to a five-storey residential building was destroyed by a direct hit. Rescue workers recovered the bodies of two women who had died.

Damage to civilian and administrative infrastructure was recorded at 49 locations. Rescue workers removed 165 square metres of damaged reinforced concrete slabs. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service provided assistance to 112 people. Clean-up operations are ongoing.

Damage to the building of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was also reported.

Zaporizhzhia region

In Zaporizhzhia, a car caught fire following an attack by strike drones. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties.

Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that Russian troops are continuing their attacks on the city.

In total, over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 753 strikes on 48 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. Three people were injured in the Zaporizhzhia district.

There were 21 reports of damage to homes, cars and infrastructure.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Russian troops attacked the Nikopol, Synelnykiv and Kryvyi Rih districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones and artillery.

The communities of Nikopol, Marganetsk, Myrivka, Pokrovka and Chervonohryhorivka were hit. Apartment blocks, private houses and a farm building were damaged.

A 35-year-old man was injured. He was hospitalised in a condition of moderate severity.

In the Mezhivska community of the Synelnykivskyi district, a house was damaged. In Apostolove, Kryvyi Rih district, fires broke out, and cars and infrastructure were also damaged.

Sumy region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops shelled 49 settlements in the Sumy region.

The Sumy, Shostka, Okhtyrka, Konotop and Romny districts came under fire.

The Russian army used guided aerial bombs, attack and FPV drones, as well as artillery.

One man was killed and four others were injured as a result of the strikes.

Kherson region

In the Kherson region, two people were killed and 16 others were injured as a result of Russian attacks over the past 24 hours.

Three high-rise buildings, six private houses, a shop and cars were damaged.

Chernihiv region

On the night of 25 May, Russian forces attacked Chernihiv with strike drones.

Explosions were heard in the city during the air raid alert. In one instance, dry grass caught fire; at another address, a fire broke out in a private holiday home.
