Russia may once again be preparing a large-scale attack on Ukrainian territory. This is indicated by intelligence reports. European partners have already been warned of the enemy’s plans.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The President noted that he had already spoken with the Federal Chancellor of Austria, Christian Stocker.

“I informed the Chancellor of our intelligence reports that the Russians are preparing a new massive strike on Ukrainian cities and communities,” the President said.

Zelenskyy also thanked Austria for its support of Ukraine and its sympathy regarding the ongoing Russian air strikes.

“It is very important that our partners respond jointly to these attacks, primarily through the supply of anti-ballistic weapons,” the head of state emphasised.

Following intelligence reports of a possible new massive strike by the Russian Federation, Zelenskyy discussed the situation with Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha.

“It is important that all our partners know what is happening, and that Russia continues to rely on missiles and further warfare rather than diplomatic measures. Above all, this means that additional sanctions pressure on Russia is needed and that our agreements with partners on air defence cannot be delayed in implementation,” the president stressed.

He added that during the conversation with Sibiga, they discussed priority tasks for the coming weeks, as well as steps that allies can take to strengthen Ukraine’s defence.

Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Centre for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defence Council, urged Ukrainians to pay close attention to air raid sirens in the coming days.

"Please pay the utmost attention to air raid alerts in the coming days," he stressed.

As a reminder, Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Andriy Melnyk, previously stated that the supply of air defence systems to Ukraine needs to be increased tenfold. He called on European and American partners to do so.
