Strike on a weapons exhibition in the Kyiv region: what is known
On the morning of 24 July, the Russians attacked the Kyiv region with three ‘Iskander-M’ ballistic missiles and S-400 missiles. Air defence forces intercepted one of them, whilst the other two struck the Bucha district.
The strike hit a venue in the Bucha district of the Kyiv region where a weapons exhibition was being held. According to the investigation, this event was organised by one of the gunsmiths’ associations without the approval of the military command, military administrations or other authorised bodies.
There were approximately 300 people at the exhibition; as a result of the attack, nearly 100 were injured. The main organiser of the event has already been charged with professional negligence. Today, the court will determine his pre-trial detention measures.
