Russian troops have attacked several regions of Ukraine over the past 24 hours; there are casualties

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out strikes on the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. The attacks have resulted in casualties and injuries, as well as damage to residential and civilian infrastructure.

Zaporizhzhia Region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out 689 strikes on 40 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration.

According to him, in the Zaporizhzhia district, two women aged 58 and 65 were injured as a result of the attacks.

There were also 48 reports of damage to homes and infrastructure.

Kherson region

In the Kherson region, one person was killed and 15 others were injured, including two children, as a result of Russian strikes.

The head of the regional state administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that 16 high-rise buildings, 8 private houses, an administrative building, a bank, a catering establishment, a gas pipeline, a farm building, a moped, agricultural machinery and private cars were damaged.

Odesa region

On the night of 28 May, Russian attack drones struck the south of the Odesa region.

Oleg Kipper, Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, reported that strikes had been recorded on a private residential building and an infrastructure facility. Windows in neighbouring buildings were damaged.

No reports of casualties have been received.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Russian forces attacked the Pavlohrad and Nikopol districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 20 times. Three people were injured.

According to the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, Pavlohrad and the Bohdanivska community in the Pavlohrad district were targeted. A five-storey building, a private house and a secondary school were damaged.

A 38-year-old man was admitted to hospital with moderate injuries. A 69-year-old woman and a 62-year-old man were also injured; they will receive outpatient treatment.

In addition, the Russians attacked the communities of Nikopol, Chervonohryhorivka, Marganetsk and Pokrovsk in the Nikopol district. A residential building and a petrol station were damaged.

Kharkiv region

Over the past 24 hours, nine settlements in the Kharkiv region came under Russian attack. Two people were injured.

Oleg Synyegubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, reported that a 62-year-old man was injured in Kozacha Lopana, whilst a 54-year-old man in Izium suffered an acute stress reaction.

Medical staff also treated a 45-year-old man who was injured on 26 May as a result of an attack on Prudyanka.

Russian forces attacked the Kharkiv region with seven guided aerial bombs, three Geran-2 UAVs, two FPV drones and 18 unmanned aerial vehicles, the type of which is being determined.

In the village of Klynova-Novoselivka, Bohodukhiv district, two private houses and farm buildings were damaged.

In the village of Sadovod, Kupianskyi district, a private house was damaged.

In the Izium district, a private house in the village of Borova and a post office in Izium were damaged.

In Kozacha Lopana, a car and a private house were damaged.

In the village of Zubove, Lozova district, a private house, a garage, an apiary, a car and power lines were damaged.

In Bilyi Kolodyazh, Chuhuiv district, a private house was damaged.

Donetsk region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops killed one resident of the Donetsk region, and three more people were wounded.

The head of the regional state administration, Vadym Filashkin, reported that the fatality occurred in Druzhkivka.

Three more people were injured: one in Druzhkivka and two in Piskunivka.
