Russia’s casualties in the war against Ukraine have exceeded 1.42 million military personnel

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has lost a further 1,120 troops. The Ukrainian Defence Forces have also destroyed dozens of pieces of military equipment, including two air defence systems.

The total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion, from 24 February 2022 to 14 July 2026, amount to approximately 1,421,810 personnel. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia lost a further 1,120 servicemen in the past 24 hours alone.

Also over the past day, Russian forces lost six tanks, one armoured fighting vehicle, 46 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems and two air defence systems.

In addition, the Ukrainian military destroyed 1,508 tactical-level drones, three cruise missiles, 330 vehicles and tankers, 11 ground-based robotic systems and four pieces of specialised equipment.

In total, since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has lost, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 12,131 tanks, 24,932 armoured combat vehicles, 45,911 artillery systems, 1,931 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,491 air defence systems, 437 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 407,201 operational-tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles, 4,899 cruise missiles, 33 ships and boats, two submarines, 119,862 motor vehicles and tankers, 4,416 units of specialised equipment and 1,905 ground-based robotic systems.

The General Staff noted that the figures are subject to revision.
