Seven Ukrainians made it into Forbes 2026: who lost out and who grew
Forbes magazine has published its updated ranking of the world's richest people for 2026.
This time, seven Ukrainian businessmen made it onto the global list of dollar billionaires. However, most of them either lost part of their wealth over the year or saw their positions in the global ranking decline.
The wealthiest Ukrainian on the list remains Rinat Akhmetov, owner of the DTEK and Metinvest groups.
As of March 2026, his fortune is estimated at $7.8 billion. A year earlier, Forbes estimated his capital at $7.9 billion.
He ranks 472nd in the global ranking, while in 2025 he was in 390th place.
The fortune of Viktor Pinchuk, owner of the Interpipe investment and industrial group, has also decreased.
Forbes estimates his capital at $2.8 billion, compared to $3.2 billion in 2025.
He dropped to 1504th place in the global list, while a year earlier he was in 1141st place.
One of the few Ukrainians whose capital has grown significantly over the year is Vlad Yatsenko, co-founder of the fintech company Revolut.
His fortune increased from $1.2 billion to $2.2 billion.
As a result, Yatsenko rose to 1913th place in the global ranking, while in the previous list he was in 2623rd place.
Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko also made it onto the billionaire list.
Forbes estimates his fortune at $1.5 billion, down from $1.8 billion a year earlier.
He ranks 2,600th in the ranking, while in 2025 he was in 1,947th place.
Andriy Verevsky, founder of the Kernel agricultural holding, also lost some of his capital.
His fortune shrank from $1.4 billion to $1.2 billion.
In the Forbes global ranking, he dropped to 3017th place, although a year earlier he was in 2356th place.
The fortunes of two other Ukrainian businessmen, Vadym Novynskyi and Kostyantyn Zhevago, remained virtually unchanged over the year.
Forbes estimates their wealth at approximately $1.2 billion each.
At the same time, both lost positions in the global ranking. While in 2025 they were in 2623rd place, in the 2026 list they fell to 3017th place.
Thus, at the end of 2026, most Ukrainian billionaires either lost part of their wealth or worsened their positions in the Forbes global ranking.
The only representative of Ukraine who demonstrated significant capital growth was Revolut co-founder Vlad Yatsenko.
