The court has placed Shufrich, who is accused of treason, under house arrest
This has been reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, prosecutors objected to the change in the preventive measure and insisted on Shufrich remaining in custody. The prosecution drew the court’s attention to the seriousness of the crimes he is accused of, in particular treason, as well as to the risks which, in its view, remained relevant.
Despite this, the court ruled to change the preventive measure. Shufrich will now be under round-the-clock house arrest and required to wear an electronic tag. The Office of the Prosecutor General also emphasised that this ruling is not subject to appeal.
The MP’s lawyer told hromadske that the defence had filed a motion to change the preventive measure, and the court had granted it.
On 11 March, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv extended Shufrich’s detention by 60 days – until 9 May. Earlier, in January 2026, the Court of Appeal had allowed an alternative in the form of bail exceeding 33 million hryvnias, but, according to media reports, these funds were not paid.
Nestor Shufrich was notified of the charges against him in September 2023 following searches by the SBU. In February 2024, he was charged with a new offence – financing the Russian National Guard – and in September 2024, prosecutors submitted an indictment against him and his former assistant to the court.
As reported by ThePublic, the former head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, and businessman Timur Mindich — the main figure in Operation Midas — were summoned to a hearing at the High Anti-Corruption Court. But neither of them appeared.
