The Centre for Public Relations has denied the false claim that mobile networks are switched off during alerts
This has been reported by the Centre for Countering Disinformation.
Reports are circulating in the Ukrainian information space about an alleged “Law No. 395/2026”, which supposedly provides for the shutdown of mobile communications during air raid alerts.
The Centre for Countering Disinformation has stated that this information is untrue.
“No laws or regulations restricting mobile communications during air raid alerts have been adopted,” the Centre emphasised.
What the Centre explained
The Centre noted that the government resolution and decree numbered “395/2026” concern other matters.
They have no bearing whatsoever on the regulation of the telecommunications sector.
Therefore, reports of an alleged shutdown of the mobile network during an air raid alert are fake.
The CPD urged people to use only verified sources of information and not to share unconfirmed reports.
Other Russian propaganda hoaxes
Earlier, Russian propaganda launched a new wave of disinformation about the alleged “forced mobilisation of women” in Ukraine.
Russian and pro-Russian media also spread fake news about an alleged “investigation” into the wife of the President of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia is preparing a large-scale disinformation campaign to destabilise Ukraine and undermine its support in the West.
The Kremlin’s actions are said to be driven by the failure of the Russian spring offensive and the critical situation in the Russian economy.
