The occupiers destroyed the historic Myklashevsky estate near Zaporizhzhia
This was reported by Anna Golovko, head of the press office at the Khortytsia National Nature Reserve.
According to her, the estate was built between 1853 and 1916 and belonged to Mykhailo Myklashevskyi — a member of an ancient Ukrainian Cossack and officer family. As Golovko points out, it was the only estate in the Zaporizhzhia area to be so well preserved.
“Its walls still housed antique wooden décor, spiral metal staircases, verandas and unique interior features. Children studied here, teachers worked here, and here the stories of our region were remembered and retold,” wrote Anna Golovko.
Before its final destruction, the Russians had already attacked the Myklashevsky estate three times. The first attack took place in January 2025, followed by another at the end of July that same year, and the occupiers struck the historic site for the final time on 27 February 2026.
