The consequences of the Russian strike on a civilian vessel in the Odesa region
On the morning of 13 July, Russian troops attacked a civilian merchant vessel flying the flag of the Republic of Togo as it was unloading mineral fertilisers at a port in the Odesa region.

This has been reported by Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba and the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleg Kipper.

A fire broke out after the vessel’s superstructure was hit.

Three crew members were killed and a further five sailors were injured. All those injured have been hospitalised.

The relevant services are working at the scene, and law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of yet another war crime committed by Russia.

Earlier that morning, the Russians attacked a sanatorium and a vehicle depot in Odesa. The number of people injured in the strike has risen to five. Among them is a five-year-old child.
