The Ukrainian Defence Forces have struck a Russian logistics hub near Armiansk
On the night of 13 July, the Ukrainian Defence Forces carried out a joint operation, launching a massive strike against a large semi-underground logistics facility belonging to Russian forces in the area of the temporarily occupied city of Armiansk.
According to information published by the ‘Nikolaevsky Vanyok’ Telegram channel, the operation involved aircraft from the Ukrainian Air Force, unmanned aerial vehicle units of the Air Force, the National Guard of Ukraine’s ‘Lasar’s Group’ and the Ukrainian Navy’s 34th Venom Unmanned Systems Centre.
It is reported that the main target was a large semi-underground logistics complex housing command posts, weapons depots, logistics facilities and other military installations. Due to the complex’s specific layout, a significant number of weapons were deployed to destroy it.
It is noted that the operation became possible following a weakening of the Russian air defence system in this area.
The publication ‘Military’, having analysed open-source data, reported that a fire is ongoing near the village of Stavky in the Kherson region, not far from the occupied town of Armiansk. According to NASA’s FIRMS satellite service, large-scale thermal anomalies have been recorded in this area.
According to sources, the Russian military has established a fortified area near the village of Stavy, comprising a system of trenches, caponiers and underground infrastructure for vehicles on the site of a former fish farm.
According to preliminary reports, there may be casualties among Russian troops, including those missing in action. However, as of the time of publication, there is no official confirmation of the strike’s consequences.
