Zelenskyy's talks with the US delegation conclude in Berlin
The talks between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the US delegation led by US Special Representative Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have ended in Berlin.
The talks took place on Monday 15 December and began around 11 am local time. According to the journalists' interlocutors, the conversation was focused on security issues and possible parameters for the further peace process.
After the meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy went to talks with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The leaders of a number of European countries, including the President of France, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, the heads of government of the Netherlands and Italy, and the President of Finland, are also expected in Berlin on the same day.
According to the President's Office, Zelenskyy is scheduled to meet with a wide range of European leaders in the evening. The talks are expected to start at 20:00 Kyiv time. The diplomatic marathon in Berlin is seen as one of the key stages in coordinating the positions of Ukraine, the United States and Europe on further steps in the war with Russia.
