Power cuts are returning to Kyiv — DTEK
In recent days, the power cut schedules have not been implemented in Kyiv
On Wednesday, 18 March, rolling blackouts will be in place for domestic consumers in Kyiv. The restrictions have been introduced on the instructions of Ukrenergo.

This was reported by DTEK.

The energy company reminded the public that temporary power cut schedules can be viewed in the ‘Kyiv Digital’ app, on the DTEK website or via the Telegram chatbot.

According to Ukrenergo, power restriction schedules for industry are forecast to be in place across all regions of Ukraine from 16:00 to 21:00.

Furthermore, as a result of drone attacks on energy infrastructure and shelling in frontline regions, as of the morning of 18 March, there are new power cuts in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv and Chernihiv regions.

Furthermore, electricity consumption is rising. Energy officials attribute this to cloudy weather in most regions of Ukraine (except the western ones), which reduces the efficiency of solar power stations and increases consumption from the main grid.

Energy officials are urging the public to use electricity sparingly. Please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances during the period when mandatory restrictions are in place for industry — from 16:00 to 21:00. Where possible, please shift energy-intensive processes to night-time hours — after 22:00.
