Artem Bespalov, an officer in the mobilisation department of the Kharkiv Regional Territorial Centre for Recruitment and Social Support, has declared gold bars worth 2,154,300 UAH. This information is contained in his electronic declaration for 2025.

This is evidenced by the data in his electronic declaration.

Artem Bespalov, an officer at the Kharkiv Regional Territorial Centre for Recruitment and Social Support who works in the mobilisation department, was found to be in possession of gold bars worth millions of hryvnias.

As noted, this is evident from his electronic declaration for the past year 2025.

The declaration also states that Bespalov owns a flat in Kharkiv and two cellars.

Over the past year, he received a salary and a pension. According to the data provided, his annual salary amounted to 150,000 UAH, and his pension to 180,000 UAH.

Among the officer’s assets, gold bullion worth over 2 million hryvnias has been declared. The report specifies that the amount is 2,154,300 hryvnias.

We should also mention other similar cases. In particular, Oleg Kolomiets, a serviceman with the Kyiv Regional Military Commissariat and Joint Staff, stated that he and his wife had purchased 1 kg of gold. The head of the military unit’s ammunition storage unit also declared gold bars.

Furthermore, a driver at the Kirovohrad Regional Military Commissariat stated upon his discharge that he held savings in gold bars. An officer of the Kyiv Regional Military Commissariat submitted his income declaration for the first time and immediately declared gold bars. An employee of the Bucha District Military Commissariat was reportedly found to be in possession of gold bars worth almost 8 million UAH.

As reported by ThePublic, an analysis was carried out of 62 former and current heads of regional Military Commissariats and Joint Military Commissariats who served between 2022 and 2026, revealing that at least nine findings by the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NAZK) concerned indications of illicit enrichment totalling 367,927,245 UAH. The focus was on both the most high-profile figures in criminal proceedings and officials whose assets, according to journalists’ estimates, corresponded to their official incomes or had remained unchanged since the start of the full-scale war.
