Ukraine has already protected over 1,000 km of logistics routes from Russian FPV drones
This was announced by Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister for Digital Transformation and Defence, on Telegram.
According to him, the pace of construction of such road shelters has doubled compared to 2025 – from approximately 4 to 8.5 km per day.
Between February and April this year alone, a further 430 km of anti-drone protection was installed and 106 km of roads were repaired in frontline regions.
Work is currently underway in five regions simultaneously. Three sections in the Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv areas have already been completed, and over 60 km of roads have been restored in total.
The Ministry of Defence emphasises that Russian troops are increasingly using FPV drones to attack transport, evacuation routes and supply lines near the front line. This is precisely why the protection of logistics has become one of the key priorities of the defence infrastructure.
“In modern warfare, logistics determines the resilience of the front line. Protected logistics means lives saved,” said Fedorov.
According to the authorities, Ukraine plans to create around 4,000 km of protected routes in frontline regions by the end of 2026.
