The Ukrainian language has made its presence felt in the Munich Library
This was reported by the Consulate General of Ukraine in Munich.
The ceremony was attended by Consul General Yuriy Nikitiuk and the library’s director, Arne Ackerman. According to reports from the diplomatic mission, visitors now have access to an extensive collection of contemporary and classical literature, children’s books, as well as publications on the history of Ukraine and the struggle against Russian aggression. The new section will help spread knowledge about our culture and maintain the connection of Ukrainians in Germany with their native language.
The global project is also actively developing in other countries around the world. A similar space was recently opened in Slovakia, and Olena Zelenska personally presented the shelf at the Dallas Public Library during the exhibition ‘Cultural Wonders of Ukraine’. Such cultural diplomacy is part of the strategy to preserve Ukrainian identity abroad and promote our heritage on the world stage.
You can visit the Ukrainian corner in Munich at Hans-Preißinger-Straße 6. This is another step towards strengthening ties between countries, creating a comfortable space for reading and socialising for the Ukrainian community in the Bavarian capital.
