Ukrzaliznytsia has tightened its rules in response to Russian attacks
Ukrzaliznytsia
In response to the intensification of Russian attacks on the railway, Ukrzaliznytsia has introduced additional safety measures on its routes. These include the evacuation of passengers from trains if there is a risk of attack.

The company’s press office announced this on Telegram.

If a passenger requires assistance when exiting the carriage, the company asks that they inform the conductor in advance.

Once the train has stopped, if the conductor gives the signal to evacuate, you should:

  • leave the carriage via the nearest exit without causing a crush or panic;
  • help passengers who need assistance;
  • do not jump, step on or stop on the tracks.

In cool weather, you may take blankets from the carriages. However, the company has asked that suitcases and bulky items be left behind.

During the evacuation, it is important to watch out for oncoming trains, Ukrzaliznytsia advised.

You must listen carefully to the conductor and follow their instructions, avoid crowding near the carriage and head for shelter. In the event of an explosion – lie face down on the ground, cover your head and keep your mouth open.

You may only return to the carriage after being instructed to do so via megaphone, whistle or voice.
