On the night of December 6, Russian troops attacked Fastiv. The railway station and tracks were damaged, and some train traffic was suspended. There is damage to infrastructure, and rescue workers and repair crews are on the scene.

During the night before Saturday, the russians carried out another targeted strike on the infrastructure of Kyiv region. One of the targets was the railway station in Fastiv. As a result of the attack, the building suffered significant damage: broken windows, destroyed walls, and roof. Numerous fragments from shells were recorded at the scene, and nearby — damaged tracks.

«Ukrzaliznytsia» reported complications in the movement of several trains. Some routes are temporarily delayed or rerouted, and railway workers are operating in an enhanced mode. Passengers are advised to monitor updates on online services and loudspeakers at stations.

Traffic on the section near Fastiv was partially halted for safety reasons and to carry out emergency work. Repair crews continue restoring the contact network and tracks. Authorities assure that critical infrastructure nodes will be promptly returned to operation.

Preliminary reports indicate that there are no casualties among passengers. Emergency services are working in the city, debris removal is underway, and the extent of damages is being assessed. Witnesses posted photos of the destroyed station building and damaged tracks — the consequences of the strike are visible even in the city center.

Local authorities emphasize that the attack was targeted specifically at the transportation hub. At the same time, Fastiv remains a key railway point in Kyiv region. Despite the shelling, railway communication with the region is maintained, and schedules are being restored as work is completed.

In Kyiv region, enhanced security measures have been announced. Citizens are urged not to ignore air raid alerts and to avoid affected areas until rescue operations are completed.
