Zelenskyy: The Netherlands will allocate €3.5 billion to support Ukraine in 2026
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Netherlands would allocate €3.5 billion to support Ukraine in 2026. He announced this during a speech in the Dutch Parliament.
The Head of State thanked the government and parliament for their stable assistance, which includes the supply of Patriot air defence systems, F 16 aircraft, artillery and drones. Zelenskyy also noted the role of the Netherlands in the PURL initiative, which allows financing the purchase of priority weapons for Ukraine through NATO mechanisms.
According to the President, in December, the Netherlands also decided to provide an additional €2 billion in defence assistance. In general, this is one of the largest contributions of partners to the security of Ukraine and the protection of civilians.
Zelenskyy stressed that strengthening air defence and energy resilience is a matter of saving Ukrainian lives and at the same time an investment in the security of the whole of Europe. He also welcomed steps to develop joint drone production as part of long-term cooperation.
