Zelensky: Ukrainian peace plan to be submitted to the US soon
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Ukraine will soon be ready to submit a revised version of the peace plan to the United States. Ukrainian and European negotiating teams, which recently met in London, worked together on the document.
According to the head of state, the key components of the plan have already been agreed upon, and Kyiv hopes to take the next steps as quickly as possible together with Washington. Zelensky emphasised that Ukraine is interested in genuine peace and is in constant contact with the American side.
The president stressed that the success of any agreements depends on Russia's willingness to stop the bloodshed and prevent a new escalation of the war. That is why it is important for the parties to have effective solutions that can be implemented in practice.
Zelensky made the statement after discussing the results of the work of the negotiating team that returned from meetings in London. There, national security advisers from European countries agreed on the details of an updated peace plan.
He also recalled that no compromise on territorial issues has yet been found in the plan. The advisers to the leaders remained in London to continue working on the final version of the document, which was brought from the United States by the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov.
