The National Bank of Ukraine has informed The Public that it has already requested an explanation from JSC “Universal Bank” regarding the circulation of a photograph which, according to media reports, may have been obtained during a video verification of a monobank customer. At the same time, the regulator explicitly stated that overseeing compliance with personal data protection legislation does not fall within its remit.
