The blogger drove his car into a nature reserve
On social media, Andriy Havryliv posted photos and videos from the Morskie Oko area, showing a yellow Chevrolet Corvette against a mountain backdrop. Polish media pointed out that private vehicles are banned from this part of the Tatra National Park. Entry is permitted only to official vehicles and those with special permits. Following a wave of criticism, the blogger claimed that he had allegedly not noticed the road sign and was unaware of the restrictions. He subsequently apologised publicly and admitted that he would not repeat such an act.
The Polish Prime Minister took an interest in the case
The Zakopane police stopped Gavriliv on his way back. The officers issued him with a fine of 100 zlotys and awarded him eight penalty points. However, this punishment drew criticism from the Polish public. Szymon Ziobowski, director of the Tatra National Park, stated that the park’s administration is cooperating with the police and is considering imposing an additional fine of up to 1,000 zlotys. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk also reacted to the incident, calling the public outcry understandable and instructing an investigation into all the circumstances of the case. Subsequently, Interior Minister Marcin Kervinsky announced that the blogger could be placed on a list of undesirable persons, with a five-year ban on entering Poland. The scandal continues to be actively discussed by the Polish media and social media users.
