Active military personnel must complete a new mandatory course at Army+
This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The Cyber Hygiene 2.0 course, which was launched in the Army+ app in January this year, has become part of the mandatory training for military personnel.
All active military personnel who are already in service must complete it. The training is also mandatory for those who are mobilised or join the army.
According to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, almost 150,000 users have already completed the course.
The ministry notes that the programme is aimed at strengthening the digital resilience of units and countering cyber threats.
In particular, in 2025, the enemy carried out hundreds of cyberattacks on military digital systems and devices every week.
Previously, the course was only available in text format on a closed platform. Now it has been converted into video lessons in the Army+ app, making learning more convenient and accessible.
The programme consists of 14 training series.
They explain how to safely use smartphones, computers, the internet and messengers, work with passwords, Wi-Fi, flash drives and service systems.
Military personnel are also taught how to recognise phishing, viruses and other cyber threats and how to respond in the event of a cyber incident.
The training is based on practical examples and real-life scenarios. Each module is followed by tests, and at the end of the course there is a final exam and a certificate.
The course materials were developed in collaboration with the Main Directorate of Communications and Cybersecurity of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Currently, 20 training courses are available in the Army+ app.
Among the most popular are "Information Resilience: Cybersecurity," which has been completed by 46,970 military personnel, "Unmanned Systems. Basics of UAVs" — 31,601, "Tactical Medicine" — 22,178, and "Basics of Communications on the Battlefield" — 18,511.
The "Training" feature is developed and supported by the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Centre for Scaling Technological Solutions.
In total, about 240,000 military personnel have already completed training in the Army+ app and gained practical knowledge for the work of their units.
