In Dnipro, a man beat a 55-year-old acquaintance to death
A 55-year-old man was killed during a dispute in the Samara district of Dnipro. Law enforcement officers have arrested a 26-year-old local resident on suspicion of causing his death by assault

This was reported by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Police.

What is known about the crime

According to the investigation, the incident took place on 2 July in a house on Semafornaya Street. During a dispute between two men, the suspect struck the 55-year-old victim numerous times. The man died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

Following a report of the incident, an investigative team and criminal police officers arrived at the scene and established the circumstances of the crime.

The suspect was arrested

The 26-year-old man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The following day, investigators informed him that he was suspected of an offence under Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—intentional grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of the victim. A pre-trial investigation is currently underway.
