In the Svyatoshynskyi district of Kyiv, a taxi driver, whilst carrying out a fare, contacted the police because he suspected the contents of the parcels he was due to deliver. After the parcels had been handed over, the police detained a woman and discovered substances resembling drugs

This was reported by the Kyiv Patrol Police.

A driver approached the patrol officers regarding an unusual request

According to the police, the incident took place a few days ago in the Sviatoshynskyi district of the capital. A taxi driver approached the patrol officers after being asked to transport several parcels whilst carrying out a fare.

The man suspected that the parcels might contain prohibited substances, so he reported the situation to the police.

The patrol officers then went to the address where the parcels were to be delivered.

The police detained the woman who collected the parcels

At the specified address, officers found a woman who had received the parcels. Upon inspecting the parcels, the police found substances resembling drugs.

Investigators were called to the scene; they seized the items and are carrying out an investigation.

The police thanked the driver for his concern and for contacting the police in good time.
