Kyiv and Kharkiv received the first cogeneration units from the state energy reserve
The first cogeneration units purchased with funds from the National Reserve Fund for Mobile and Modular Energy Equipment have already been sent to the regions. This was announced on Telegram by Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery, Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.
According to him, almost 40 trucks with mobile energy equipment were purchased at the expense of the state reserve. These are seven cogeneration units, the first of which are already on their way to where they are most needed to support the energy system.
Kyiv received 16 trucks with four cogeneration units with a capacity of 2.3 MW each. The total cost of this equipment is 241.8 million hryvnias. Another 21 trucks are headed to the Kharkiv region, where the region will receive three cogeneration units with a capacity of 4.3 MW each, with a total cost of 304.3 million hryvnias. The total capacity of the equipment already delivered exceeds 22 MW.
In addition, the state has contracted high-power generators with a total capacity of over 100 MW. The first units of this equipment have already arrived in the capital.
The National Reserve Fund for Mobile and Modular Energy Equipment was created on behalf of the government. It is being formed at the expense of the state budget, from which UAH 2.6 billion has already been allocated. The reserve is designed to provide rapid support to communities during emergencies, repair work or as a result of enemy attacks, ensuring the rapid restoration of electricity and heat supply.
