Kyiv received all 500 generators from the EU's strategic reserve rescEU
The transfer of equipment was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery, Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba. According to him, on 12 February, Kyiv received the last 234 generators, completing the delivery of the entire batch of 500 units.
Of these, 438 generators have a capacity of 23 kW, and another 62 units are equipped with a capacity of 27 kW. The total installed capacity of the equipment is 12 MW. This resource allows for the maintenance of individual heating points, water supply and drainage pumps during prolonged power outages.
The generators are planned to be delivered primarily to residential buildings, where the risks to heat and water remain the highest. This should ensure residents' access to basic services even during attacks and power outages.
Deliveries from the rescEU strategic reserve are fully funded by the European Union. According to Kuleba, this is part of a long-term cooperation to strengthen the energy independence of Ukrainian cities.
