Ministry of Defence sharply increases supply of interceptor drones to protect against Russian attacks
The Defence Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defence is handing over an average of almost 950 interceptor drones to the Defence Forces every day in December. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence.
These are anti-shahid drones that allow to effectively counter mass attacks by Russian attack drones and at the same time preserve the resource of air defence systems to intercept cruise and ballistic missiles.
The ministry notes that the purchase of interceptor drones is one of the key priorities for 2026. As of December, contracts have been signed with more than ten Ukrainian manufacturers of such drones, which should guarantee continuity and the necessary volumes of supply.
Tactical interceptor drones are already integrated into the DOT Chain Defence marketplace. This allows combat brigades to independently choose the right equipment to combat enemy reconnaissance and attack UAVs, taking into account the situation at the front.
The Ministry of Defence emphasises that the scaling up of such solutions directly affects the preservation of military and civilian lives and strengthens the protection of Ukrainian skies from drone terror.
