The Air Force has warned of a high likelihood of shelling over the next 24 hours
This was stated by the military.
“Over the next 24 hours, there is a high probability that the enemy will launch a medium-range ballistic missile from the Kapustin Yar test site. Do not ignore air raid sirens!” the Air Force said.
It should be noted that it was from the Kapustin Yar test site that the Russians previously launched Oreshnik missiles at Ukraine. The last time a missile struck was in the Bila Tserkva district. On that occasion, a garage cooperative and company buildings were damaged.
“Oreshnik” strikes on Ukraine: what is known
The occupiers first used this weapon against Ukraine in the early hours of 21 November 2024, attacking the city of Dnipro.
As early as January 2026, Russia again launched an Oreshnik at Lviv. Russia described this strike as a response to an ‘attack’ on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin (although there is no evidence of such an attack).
In May 2026, Russia launched an ‘Oreshnik’ at Bila Tserkva. One of the city’s districts was affected by the attack — a fire broke out in the Bila Tserkva district, and a garage cooperative and industrial buildings were destroyed
