A fire broke out in the village of Kyrnasivka, Tulchyn District, caused by a short circuit in a mobile phone charger. The fire engulfed a bed in the room, and the 60-year-old owner of the house suffered smoke inhalation

This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

According to the rescue services, the fire broke out in one of the rooms of a residential building. The preliminary cause of the fire was a short circuit in a charger. Units from the State Emergency Service and members of the local fire brigade arrived at the scene. They quickly extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to a larger area. The fire damaged a bed and a charger. The homeowner inhaled smoke and was poisoned by combustion products.

Other fires in the Vinnytsia region

In total, over the course of the day, emergency services extinguished five fires in the region’s residential areas. In Zhmerynka, a minibus caught fire due to a fault in the electrical system. In addition, in the village of Napadivka in the Lypovets community, a fire broke out in firewood stored on the property, and in Zherdenivka in the Haisyn district, a fire occurred on the roof of a summer kitchen. Rescue workers are once again urging people not to leave chargers unattended and to ensure that electrical appliances are in good working order.
