Odessa was attacked by drones overnight: a residential building was hit, fires broke out and three people were injured

On the night of 19 March, Russia attacked Odesa with strike drones. According to updated reports, strikes on residential buildings were recorded in the city. Two high-rise blocks, a residential building in the historic centre and buildings in the private sector were damaged.
Primorskyi District
Damage to 12 residential buildings has been recorded. Two injured people were taken to hospital. Utility services are clearing the surrounding areas and boarding up window openings. An operational headquarters is working on site, where residents have already received over 20 consultations on further actions and applying for assistance.
Kyiv District
A 22-storey residential block and a university hall of residence were damaged – a total of around 180 windows were shattered. An operations centre has been set up on site since 01:10. Over 40 utility workers and specialist equipment have been deployed to deal with the aftermath. Work is ongoing to seal the windows with plastic sheeting and OSB boards. One casualty has been treated at the scene.
Khadzhibey District
A two-storey residential building has been partially destroyed. Utility workers have already cleared the area around the building and sealed the damaged windows. The process of compiling inspection reports in response to residents’ requests is ongoing.
In general, command centres, specialists from district administrations and utility companies are working at all locations. The collection of information regarding the extent of the damage is continuing.
Fires broke out at the impact sites following the strikes. According to local authorities, these were quickly brought under control.
As of 01:35, three casualties were reported. Two people were taken to the city hospital.
Earlier, local authorities also reported that during the massive enemy attack, a residential high-rise in one part of the city and a non-residential building in another part were damaged. After assessing the damage, the list of damaged properties was expanded. All operational, emergency and municipal services were working at the sites of the strikes. Clean-up operations following the attack are ongoing in the city.
