Over the past 24 hours, 251 combat engagements were recorded on the front line. Russian forces were most active in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 55 assaults.

The 1,569th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 251 combat engagements took place on the front line over the past 24 hours.

Russian troops carried out 100 air strikes and dropped 292 guided bombs. The enemy also deployed 9,293 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,248 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, 38 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems. Air strikes were carried out, in particular, on the areas of Tovstodubove, Bachivsk and Chervonyi Pakhar in the Sumy region.

Over the past 24 hours, the Defence Forces’ aviation struck two artillery systems, three drone control centres, four command posts and five areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.

One combat engagement took place in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. The enemy carried out three air strikes using seven guided bombs and conducted 90 shelling attacks, including eight from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, Russian troops attacked the positions of Ukrainian units four times in the areas of Starytsia and in the direction of Okhrimivka and Kindrashivka.

In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled two attempts by the enemy to advance towards Kupiansk Vuzlovyi.

In the Lyman sector, the occupiers made 16 attempts to breach the defences near Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Yampil, and in the directions of Lyman and Ozerny.

In the Sloviansk sector, 14 assaults were recorded in the areas of Zakitne, Riznykivka and in the directions of Kryva Luka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy made one attempt to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the Chasovyi Yar area.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian troops carried out 14 attacks near Pleshchiivka, Ivanopil, Illinivka, Stepanivka and in the directions of Kostiantynivka, Mykolaipil, Vilne and Bilytske.

The highest number of combat engagements was recorded in the Pokrovsk sector. Here, Ukrainian forces repelled 55 attacks in the areas of Rodynske, Nikanorivka, Ivanivka, Hryshyne, Vasylivka, Kotlyne, Udachne and in the directions of Vilne, Hannivka, Bilytske, Oleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Novooleksandrivka, Novohryshyne, Serhiivka, Novopidhorodne and Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, four attacks took place near Zelenyi Hai, Ternove and in the direction of Andriivka-Klevtsova.

In the Huliaipole sector, the enemy carried out 29 attacks in the areas of Rybne, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, Charivne and in the directions of Dobropillia, Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Hirkyi, Novoselivka and Huliaipil.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled six enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Stepnogorsk, Shcherbakiv and in the directions of Nova Tokmachka and Charivne.

In the Dnipro direction, Russian troops unsuccessfully attempted to break through the defences in the area of Bilohrudyi Island.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected.

According to the General Staff, Russian forces suffered 1,310 casualties over the past 24 hours. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed six tanks, 10 armoured fighting vehicles, 74 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, two air defence systems, nine ground-based robotic systems, 2,120 drones, 326 vehicles and 10 pieces of specialist equipment.
