Russian attacks on the Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions have resulted in casualties

On the morning of 11 June, Russian forces attacked infrastructure and populated areas in several regions of Ukraine. The strikes have resulted in casualties and injuries, as well as damage to residential and civilian infrastructure.

Sumy Region

In the Sumy region, Russian troops struck the transport infrastructure in Konotop. According to the mayor, Artem Semenikhin, part of the town was left without gas supplies, and residential buildings were damaged. It later emerged that, as a result of the attack, the town was left without electricity and water supplies. Water is being supplied on a rota basis.

A woman born in 1984 was injured in the strike. She sustained a shrapnel wound to her leg. She received medical treatment at the scene and did not require hospitalisation.

Another tragedy occurred in the Zno-Novgorod community. According to Oleg Grigorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, a Russian drone struck a residential building, causing a fire. A 67-year-old woman was killed. Her two young grandchildren were in the house. The children were taken to hospital for examination. Preliminary reports suggest they did not sustain serious injuries.

Dnipropetrovsk region

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces have attacked four districts of the region nearly 30 times since the evening using drones and guided aerial bombs. According to regional authorities, one person was killed and 16 others were injured.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, the Vasylkivska and Ukrainska communities came under attack. The strikes caused fires. Two private houses were partially destroyed, and several other homes, a farm, outbuildings and cars were damaged. A shop was also destroyed. One person was killed here, and three others were injured.

In the Zelenodolsk community of the Kryvyi Rih district, one person was injured.

In Pavlohrad, a multi-storey building and a rescue unit building were damaged. Twelve people were injured.

In the Nikopol district, Russian troops attacked the communities of Nikopol, Marganetsk, Chervonohryhorivka, Myrivka and Pokrovka. As a result of the shelling, a private house caught fire, and a business and infrastructure facilities were damaged.

Kherson region

In the Kherson region, one person was killed and 12 others were injured in Russian shelling over the past 24 hours. A child is among the casualties.

An apartment block, 17 private homes, a shop, a petrol station, a mobile phone mast, a gas pipeline, an agricultural enterprise and private cars were damaged.

In addition, 17 people were evacuated from de-occupied communities in the Kherson region over the past 24 hours.
