Pensioners can receive 5,000 UAH via Oschadbank: who is eligible for the scheme
In Ukraine, certain categories of pensioners are eligible for a one-off financial payment of 5,000 hryvnias, which is credited to their Oschadbank card.
These payments are made as part of humanitarian programmes implemented with the participation of international partners. They are primarily aimed at supporting older people who find themselves in a particularly vulnerable situation.
According to social services, the assistance is intended for pensioners who are in high-risk areas, have been evacuated, or belong to vulnerable groups. In some communities, the list of recipients also includes those living near the front line.
To receive the funds, a pensioner must hold an Oschadbank card. In addition, the person must be included on the lists of recipients compiled by social protection authorities or international humanitarian organisations.
Some citizens receive the money automatically, without needing to apply. In other cases, to participate in the programme, you must contact your local social protection office or partner humanitarian centres.
The bank explains that the payment is credited to a standard pension card. These funds can be used in the same way as regular pension payments – withdrawn from an ATM or at a branch.
However, the programme is not open-ended and has limited funding. This is why the list of regions, communities and categories of recipients may change depending on available resources.
The government emphasises that these payments are intended to help the most vulnerable citizens during a period of high costs and general instability.
