Prime Minister Koretsky held his first international talks: Ukraine is expecting a $690 million tranche from the IMF
The head of the Ukrainian government announced this on social media.
According to Koretskyi, the discussion centred on preparations for the IMF Executive Board meeting. At this meeting, a decision is due to be taken on the first review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme for Ukraine. The Fund has confirmed that the meeting will take place on 20 July.
“Approval of the first review by the IMF Executive Board is expected to bring Ukraine the next tranche of international aid amounting to 690 million US dollars,” the Prime Minister noted.
In addition, Koretskyi and Katz agreed to coordinate further steps to ensure stable funding for Ukraine’s state budget for 2027.
As a reminder, on 16 July, the Verkhovna Rada approved the appointment of Serhiy Koretskyi as Ukraine’s new Prime Minister. He succeeded Yulia Svyrydenko in this role.
