Russian strikes on regions of Ukraine: casualties, injuries and destruction
Over the past day, Russian troops have struck several regions of Ukraine. The most affected areas are Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions.
Chernihiv region
In the Chernihiv region, a child was killed and his parents were injured when a Russian drone crashed.
At night, in the Koryukivka district, a residential building and a farm building caught fire due to the crash of an enemy UAV. Rescuers extinguished the fire.
A girl born in 2010 was killed. Her parents were injured and hospitalised. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service provided assistance to six people. Emergency services worked at the scene.
Zaporizhzhia region
Over the course of 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 780 strikes on 42 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. As a result of the attacks, 15 people were wounded in Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district.
According to regional authorities, Russian troops carried out 29 air strikes on Zaporizhzhia, Malokaterynivka, Kushuhum, Balabyn, Zalivne, Shyroke, Lisne, Liubytske, Rozumivka, Tavriisk, Zaliznychne, Kopani, Huliaipilske, Vozdvyzhivka, Charivne, Dolynka, Samiilivka, and Horko.
In addition, 449 drones of various modifications, mainly FPV, attacked Zaporizhzhia, Komyshuvakha, Baburka, Bilenke, Tavriiske, Nyzhnia Khortytsia, Yurkivka, Rozyvka, Stepnogorsk, Primorske, Lukianivske, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, Tsvitkove, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohirya, Zelen, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Shcherbaky, Charivne, Varvarivka, Myrne, Preobrazhenka, and Girk.
Five more rocket attacks were recorded in Mirne, Varvarivka, and Zeleny. In addition, Russian troops carried out 297 artillery strikes on Stepnogorsk, Primorsky, Lukyanivsky, Stepove, Maly Shcherbaky, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychny, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohirya, Dobropillia, Varvarivka, Charivne, Zeleny, and Pryluky.
There were 155 reports of damage to homes, infrastructure, and vehicles.
Separately, it is reported that on 11 March, Russian troops carried out air strikes on Zaporizhzhia. Initially, seven people were reported injured, including one child. Subsequently, the number of victims rose to 12, including four children. Eight people are in medical facilities.
As a result of the strike, a private house was damaged and a fire broke out in an open area, which was extinguished by rescuers. Six apartment buildings and nine private houses were also damaged by the blast wave. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service provided assistance to eight people, including four children.
According to updated data, 87 houses were damaged in the Shevchenkivskyi and Kosmichnyi districts of Zaporizhzhia, including 75 private houses and 12 multi-storey buildings.
Sumy region
Russian troops shelled 24 settlements in the Sumy region over the past day. More than 40 police officers were injured in the Shostka city community.
According to the National Police, communities in the Sumy, Shostka and Konotop districts were targeted. The enemy used guided aerial bombs, strike drones, FPV drones, artillery and mortars.
In the Shostka city community, Russian troops attacked the district police department. More than 40 police officers suffered minor injuries. Administrative buildings, apartment buildings and private houses, a passenger car and a police service vehicle were damaged.
In the Hlukhiv community, five apartment buildings and a passenger car were damaged. In the Zno-Novgorod community, three private houses were damaged.
Police investigation teams worked on site to document the consequences of the attacks and collect evidence of war crimes.
Kherson region
In the Kherson region, one person was killed and 23 others were wounded, including one child, as a result of Russian aggression over the past day.
Bilozerka, Beryslav, Tomaryne, Novoraysk, Khrestivka, Lyubymivka, Kucherske, Rakivka, Ponyativka, Urozhayne, Borozenske, Gavrylivka, Antonivka, Veletenske, Vesele, Dniprovske, Inzhenerne, Kizomis, Lvove, Mykilsk, Mykhailivka, Molodizhne, Osokorivka, Pravdyne, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Sofiivka, Tyahynka, Chervonyi Mayak, Dudchany, Nova Kamianka, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Romashkove, Yantarne, Rozliv, Novodmytrivka, Tomyna Balka, Burgunka, Kozatske, Zolota Balka, Mykolaivka, Milove, Respublicanets, Novovorontsovka, and Kherson.
Four high-rise buildings, 10 private houses, a warehouse, a minibus, and official and private cars were damaged.
Dnipropetrovsk region
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian troops attacked the Nikopol and Synelnykivskyi districts with drones and artillery more than ten times. Two people were wounded as a result of the attacks.
In the Nikopol district, Nikopol and the Marganetsk community were targeted. Businesses and high-rise buildings were damaged.
In the Synelnykivskyi district, Russian troops struck the Mykolaiv community. This caused fires in a private house and a farm building. A man and a woman were injured and hospitalised in a moderate condition. Emergency services extinguished the fires.
Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv region, Russian troops attacked settlements in the region and Kharkiv with drones at night. A 39-year-old woman was injured as a result of the strikes, and rescuers were hit twice by repeated strikes.
The strikes were recorded in the Zolochiv, Malynivka and Velykoburlutsk communities, as well as in Kharkiv. Several fires broke out, damaging infrastructure and private homes. While extinguishing the fires, Russian troops launched two more strikes. A fire truck was damaged, but the rescuers were not injured.
According to Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, three people were killed and 16 were injured in the region as a result of Russian strikes over the past 24 hours.
A 45-year-old and a 50-year-old man were killed in Kharkiv. Women aged 47, 50 and 60 and men aged 49, 39, 36 and 33 were injured.
A 53-year-old man was killed in Chuhuiv, and women aged 41 and 60 were injured.
In Merefa, a 74-year-old and a 37-year-old woman, a 62-year-old man and a six-year-old girl were injured.
A 53-year-old man was injured in the village of Lebiazh, Prolisnenska community. A 43-year-old man was injured in the village of Oleksandrivka, Zolochivska community. A 72-year-old woman was injured in the village of Hrushevka, Kindrashevska community.
Russian troops attacked the Shevchenkivskyi and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv with drones. Eight guided aerial bombs, 13 Geran-2 UAVs, four Molniya UAVs, six FPV drones and 15 drones of unknown type were also used in the region.
In Kharkiv, a civilian enterprise, power lines and windows of an apartment building were damaged.
In Zolochiv, Bogodukhiv district, agricultural equipment was damaged.
In the village of Prykolotne, Kupianskyi district, two private houses, a farm building and three cars were damaged.
In the village of Oskil, Izyum district, a private house was damaged.
In the Kharkiv district, four private houses, three cars and a garage in Merefa were damaged, as well as three private houses, a farm building and a car in Derhachi. In the village of Tsyrkuny, a building was damaged.
In the Chuhuiv district, three tractors, a loader and a hangar were damaged in the village of Lebiazh, a tractor and a farm building in the village of Ivanivka, a private house in Chuhuiv, as well as a private house and two farm buildings in the village of Malynivka.
Over the past 24 hours, the transit evacuation point in Lozova has received 149 people. Since the point began operating, 22,303 people have been registered there.
