Russia has attacked the Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and other regions; there are casualties

On the night of 19 May, Russian forces attacked several regions of Ukraine using drones, artillery and other weapons. The strikes have resulted in casualties and injuries, as well as damage to homes, port infrastructure, warehouses and vehicles.

Odesa Region

On the night of 19 May, Russian drones attacked the Izmail district of the Odesa region. Port infrastructure in Izmail was damaged.

According to the Izmail District State Administration, State Emergency Service units quickly dealt with the aftermath of the strike. There were no casualties and no significant damage.

Oleg Kipper, Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, reported that as a result of a massive attack on the southern part of the region, a drone struck a warehouse building in the Izmail district. The building’s roof and windows were damaged.

A fire broke out in the empty warehouse following the strike. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and prevented the fire from spreading further. There were no fatalities or injuries.

Dnipropetrovsk region

In Kryvyi Rih, Russian forces attacked the city with Shahed-type drones during the night and in the early hours of the morning. A 41-year-old woman was injured in the Central City district. She received the necessary medical attention and will be treated as an outpatient.

According to preliminary data, around 10 residential buildings in the city have been damaged, some of them seriously. The extent of the damage is being assessed, and a search of the area is ongoing. All necessary services are in operation.

In the Kryvyi Rih district, Russian troops attacked the Lozuvatska community. According to local authorities, there were no casualties.

In the Nikopol district, the communities of Marganetsk, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovsk and Myrivka came under attack from drones and artillery. A 22-year-old man was wounded and will receive outpatient treatment. An administrative building and a private house were damaged.

In the Samarivskyi district, the Pereshchepynska community came under attack, and infrastructure was damaged.

In total, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, Russian forces attacked three districts of the region with drones and shelled them with artillery more than 20 times. Two people were injured.

Kherson region

In the Korabelny district of Kherson, at around 5:00 am, a Russian drone attacked a 68-year-old man. He suffered blast injuries and a traumatic amputation of his leg. Police officers took the victim to hospital.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have attacked 40 settlements in the Kherson region using drones, aircraft and artillery.

As a result of the strikes, two people were killed and a further 14 were injured. Damage was caused to social infrastructure, residential areas, a high-rise building, 12 private houses, a bank, garages and cars.

Three people were successfully evacuated from the liberated communities in the region.

Zaporizhzhia region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 858 strikes on 47 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.

According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, 98 reports were received regarding damage to infrastructure, homes, vehicles and farm buildings.

No civilians were harmed.

Chernihiv region

In the Chernihiv region, Russian strikes caused fires in a building and a lorry.

In the Horodnya territorial community, rescue workers extinguished a fire in an unused building.

In the village of Ripky, a fire in a lorry was brought under control.

According to the State Emergency Service, there were no casualties.
