Russian sabotage groups have become less active along the border
This was reported by Glavred.
Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, said that the activity of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups along the borders of the Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions has significantly decreased. According to him, Russian troops are currently relying on different tactics.
“Overall, over a very long period, the activity of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups has decreased. The enemy understands that its objective is different — it plans to create a buffer zone, and the use of infantry groups is more suitable for this,” Demchenko explained.
Has the threat from DRGs disappeared?
Despite the decline in saboteurs’ activity, the threat has not completely disappeared. The State Border Guard Service notes that the Ukrainian military continues to monitor the situation along the border.
“It cannot be said that this threat has completely disappeared, but, fortunately, activity on the scale seen previously is not currently being recorded,” added the spokesperson.
How the Russians are trying to advance on the front line
At the same time, in certain sections of the front, the occupiers are continuing active assault operations. According to a soldier with the call sign "Ajax", in the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian troops are increasing their troop numbers in occupied positions and looking for weak spots in the Ukrainian defences. To do this, they are using small assault groups. The occupiers may move in small units or even in pairs, attempting to approach the Defence Forces’ positions covertly.
