The remains of more than 30 unborn babies have been found near a doctor’s home in Poland

The decision on pre-trial detention was issued by a court in Rzeszów. According to the District Prosecutor’s Office, the doctor has been remanded in custody for three months. Investigators are establishing how the remains of unborn children and medical waste ended up on private property in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.
What the suspect said
According to the prosecutor’s office, during questioning, Magdalena G. confirmed that she was the one who buried the discovered remains and medical waste on her property. She also explained their origin. It is known that the woman lives in Rzeszów and worked as a pathologist. She has been charged with desecration of human remains and the illegal handling of hazardous waste in a place not designated for its storage. Under Polish law, such actions can carry a prison sentence of up to 12 years.
The search continues on the site
Magdalena G. was arrested in the city of Zamość. Search operations are continuing on private property. Law enforcement officers are seizing evidence and checking whether there may be other illegal burials there. According to the prosecutor’s office, the work may continue until at least 16 June.
