The General Staff has reported that the Russian army has suffered more than 1,300 casualties in the past 24 hours
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has published updated figures on combat losses suffered by Russian troops as of 16 July 2026.
According to the General Staff, Russia has lost around 1,424,620 military personnel since the start of the full-scale invasion. Over the past 24 hours, personnel losses totalled 1,340.
Furthermore, according to the Ukrainian military command, Russia has lost 12,144 tanks, three of which were lost in the last 24 hours, 24,940 armoured fighting vehicles, 46,019 artillery systems (including 66 in the last 24 hours), 1,936 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,492 air defence systems, 437 aircraft and 353 helicopters.
In addition, the Russian Federation’s total losses amount to 411,005 operational-tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles, of which 1,801 were lost in the past 24 hours, 4,906 cruise missiles, 34 ships and boats, two submarines, 120,727 vehicles and tankers, 4,420 units of specialised equipment, as well as 1,919 ground-based robotic systems, of which 12 were lost over the past 24 hours.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the figures provided are subject to revision.
