Over the past 24 hours, 279 combat engagements were recorded on the front line. Russian troops were most active in the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk sectors.

The 1,604th day of the Russian Federation’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 279 combat engagements took place on the front line over the past 24 hours.

Russian troops launched one missile strike using four missiles and carried out 88 air strikes, dropping 295 guided bombs. The enemy also deployed 9,922 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,148 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 42 using multiple launch rocket systems.

Meanwhile, the Defence Forces’ air force, missile forces and artillery struck a command post, eight areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, four drone control centres and two other key enemy targets.

Ten engagements were recorded in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian troops carried out 15 attacks. In the Kupiansk sector, there were five attacks, 12 in the Lyman sector, 22 in the Sloviansk sector, four in the Kramatorsk sector, 30 in the Kostiantynivka sector, 38 in the Pokrovsk sector, four in the Oleksandrivka sector, 18 in the Huliaipole sector, and five in the Orikhiv sector. The enemy did not carry out any offensive operations in the Dnipro sector.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of Russian forces forming offensive groups have been detected.

According to the General Staff, the Russian army lost 1,340 troops over the past 24 hours. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed three tanks, two armoured fighting vehicles, 66 artillery systems, 12 ground-based robotic systems, 1,801 unmanned aerial vehicles and 420 vehicles.
