The occupying ‘authorities’ in the Kherson region have reported new attacks by the Defence Forces on bridges. These include bridges across the North Crimean Canal near Preobrazhenka and Mirne, the road bridge on the Perekop–Armiansk route, and a bridge near the village of Stavky.

This was stated by Vladimir Saldo, Russia’s puppet in the occupied part of the Kherson region.

According to him, bridges across the North Crimean Canal in the Preobrazhenka and Mirny areas, the road bridge between Perekop and Armiansk, and a bridge near the village of Stavki were attacked.

“According to preliminary information, there is damage. Experts are conducting surveys and assessing the condition of the structures. Our military and air defence forces destroyed 45 strike-type UAVs overnight. The enemy is attempting to concentrate its strikes on the region’s transport infrastructure. Information on traffic and restoration times will be provided later,” said Saldo.

Strikes on bridges in the occupied south of Ukraine: what is known

On 7 June, Saldo announced a strike on the Chongar Bridge. On 10 June, the Ukrainian military announced that the Chongar Bridge had been completely disabled.

The operation was carried out by the ‘Phalanx’ unit of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment named after Dmytro Kotsyubailo and the 475th Separate Assault Regiment CODE 9.2. Fire Point drones and ‘Behemoth’ UAVs were used in the attack.
