After meeting with Netanyahu, Trump acknowledged that no agreement had been reached on Iran.
US President Donald Trump announced that he had met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington. According to Trump, the conversation was positive, and relations between the two countries remain strong.
At the same time, no agreement was reached on Iran. Trump wrote on his social network Truth Social that no final decision had been reached, except that he insisted on continuing negotiations with Iran to determine whether an agreement was possible.
Separately, Trump recalled previous experience of dealing with Tehran and noted that last time Iran rejected the agreement and suffered a "Midnight Hammer" strike. He expressed hope that this time Iran would be more prudent and responsible.
According to the American president, the situation in Gaza and the region in general was also discussed during the meeting. Netanyahu is currently visiting the United States. The report notes that the Israeli prime minister is inclined to take a tougher stance on Iran, including the use of military force, while Trump believes it is possible to reach an agreement on the nuclear programme.
