This is according to Politico, citing US administration officials.

Trump is due to arrive in France on Monday. His schedule includes talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, official engagements and working meetings with G7 leaders. After the summit concludes, Macron has invited Trump to a private dinner at the Palace of Versailles. The White House has confirmed the US president’s attendance.

Why Macron invited Trump to Versailles

According to the publication, the invitation to one of France’s most famous palaces is part of Macron’s diplomatic approach. European leaders hope to discuss a number of important issues with Trump, including security, the war in Ukraine and the situation regarding Iran. The summit will also cover the economy, artificial intelligence, migration and cooperation between countries.

Will Trump meet with Zelenskyy

A working session involving Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is scheduled as part of the G7 summit. However, a representative of the Trump administration stated that a separate bilateral meeting between the US and Ukrainian presidents is not currently on the agenda. Officials have not ruled out the possibility that Trump and Zelenskyy may speak on the sidelines of the summit. In addition, the US president will hold talks with other world leaders, including representatives from the Middle East and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
