Agents of the ATES guerrilla movement reported the destruction of a communication tower of the Russian air defence unit in Moscow region, which provided command and control and intelligence.

Agents of the guerrilla movement АТЕШ reported a successful sabotage in the Moscow region, which resulted in the destruction of a communication tower of a military unit of the Russian Federation's air defence. This is stated in the message of the movement, published in Telegram.

According to АТЕШ, an element of the air defence system of the 5th Division of the Anti-Aircraft Missile Forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces was hit. The destroyed tower served as a key communication and command centre for the unit.

The movement noted that this facility provided secure radio relay communication between the command and subordinate air defence units, and was also used to deploy electronic intelligence equipment and intercept signals necessary to monitor the operational situation in the region.

According to the guerrillas, the elimination of this node significantly weakens the potential of the Russian air defence system in the central region of the country, disrupts coordination and control, and leads to the loss of intelligence data.

The АТЕШ stressed that such actions demonstrate the vulnerability of the Russian rear areas, emphasising that their agents continue to operate in the central regions of Russia in order to weaken the enemy's key military capabilities.
