Trump is mentioned hundreds of times in Epstein's new files
The US Department of Justice has released another batch of documents in the Jeffrey Epstein case, in which US President Donald Trump's name is mentioned hundreds of times. Some of the materials contain a list of statements and allegations received by the FBI through the national threat reporting line, including possible sexual offences involving Trump, Epstein and other influential figures. This was reported by the BBC and a number of world-renowned media outlets.
The US Department of Justice emphasised that a significant portion of these allegations are based on unverified reports without any evidence. The department stated that some of the documents contain false and sensational allegations submitted on the eve of the 2020 presidential election and stressed that these allegations are unfounded.
The published materials also mention alleged parties and sexual activities at the Mar-a-Lago residence, which, according to some claimants, may have involved minors. At the same time, none of these allegations led to formal charges against Trump, and Epstein's victims did not file criminal charges against him.
Donald Trump himself has repeatedly denied any involvement in Epstein's crimes and stated that their relationship ended many years ago. In response to the new publications, the White House and the Department of Justice again emphasised the lack of evidence and urged people not to treat unverified statements as established facts.
