Ukrainians increased their beer expenses by 7 billion in a year - Economic Truth
According to calculations, the average consumer price for domestic beer was 32.8 UAH in 2023 and increased to 34.1 UAH in 2024 for 0.5 liters.
"The total industry revenue amounted to 46.3 billion UAH, which is 17.5% higher compared to 2023 (39.4 billion UAH) and 53% higher than in 2022 (30.2 billion UAH). Such growth indicates a gradual recovery of consumer demand, adaptation of enterprises to the challenging economic environment, and partial stabilization of the domestic market," the study states.
At the same time, the total profit in 2024 was 2.5 billion UAH, comparable to the financial result of 2023. In contrast, in 2022, the industry's losses amounted to 699 million UAH.
According to the platform's data, only two companies earned a profit of over 1 billion hryvnias, three companies — from 100 million, and ten more — from 10 to 100 million hryvnias. Meanwhile, 84% of the industry's total profit was generated by a company registered in Zaporizhzhia.
"Despite the proximity to the front line and regular air alarms, companies registered in Zaporizhzhia region generated the largest total profit of 2.2 billion UAH. This is related to the location of the enterprise CJSC 'Carlsberg Ukraine,' which became the profit leader in 2024," say analysts.
